Cooling 07 Ultra

RE: Cooling 07 Ultra
Add me to the list of hot running engines. My bikes normally runs at 210'F. As I running it for longer periods, like 45 minutes on interstate, it slowly rises to 230'F with no indication of going down - and that'swith 85'F or lower air temps. It scares the heck out of that I might run into traffic once I get of the interstate and have to park it for 15-30 minutes. I've got a stage 1 upgrade w/ TMax and D&D Fat Cats and I'm still running hot. So hot my wife said she's not looking forward to the next ride. So, I'm very interested in the new 10 row Jaggs oil cooler. I've got to do something, since all of my other bikes never bothered me, or my wife, with the heat.

RE: Cooling 07 Ultra
i had added a pciii and se slip ons to my 07 ultra and had never had heat or pinging issues until the temps got close to 100 degrees. it was 100 plus here in north dakota yesterday so i decided to pull the lowers off and wow, huge difference in airflow to the rider and engine. oil temps are 20-30 degrees cooler and engine is much happier. if you believe there is no difference in running the adjustable lowers all the way open and removing them you are mistaken. best thing i ever did was remove them and they are not going back on until the bike goes bye-bye.
