Default '04 Ultra Classic am/fm antenna relocation

Hi! I'm going to convert to a quick-detach tour pack... will the relocation bracket from Harley Davidson (see below) work for the radio antenna? It looks like the cable running into the tour pack would be long enough to run down the left side of the rear fender...

https://www.harley-davidson.com/stor...relocation-kit

If not, who has some suggestions? How well does the J&M inner fairing antenna work?

Thanks!

Carl

The kit you show is for the 09 and older models. I made my 02 Tour Pak detachable using all HD parts contrary to HD website/parts books etc... I used the year appropriate detachable kit to remove the Tour Pak, but then used electrical and AM/FM and CB antenna cable kits from the 09 and newer kits. I also used the antenna brackets from the Road Glide/Street Glide of appropriate years to mount the antenna cable on the rear fender strut for both AM/FM and CB antenna mounts. I don't have the info handy but if you search my posts you should find a parts list somewhere.

I plan on doing a similar thing with my 17 Road Glide. Doing things contrary to what HD says you can yet using all HD parts.

Bingo! Unless you have a strong local channel, you can forget it. I use BT mostly anyway so I gave up
