installed RJ's on mine last week. studs look good against the blk/chrome of bike. shields work well, plenty of clearance-can slide my hand between shield and cyl head rs, cvrs latch for adj seatback on left BUT easy to reach under and hit release. no downside hi quality -I LUV EM!!!!!!!! ya get what ya pay for.

wondering bout those HD deflectors for the fairing that says you can adjust air flow in towards you-true???make it any cooler????its hot here!!
Hi Relli,

Before you buy HD or Kury fairing wind deflecters,
check out the Freedom Wings at http://www.freedom-wings.com/Wings.html
There' a whole lot more control and built stronger.
I have had excellent service with them as well.
Do a search on HD forums and you'll see that I'm not alone on this issue.

Yup, I like them, and yes they're very sturdy.
Yes they hold position very well.
But best of all, I had one of the bracket break while on a road trip. so I took them off, because I didn't want to damage the unit since it was only holding on by one bracket. I couyldn't find another set at the next HD shop, so I bought the HD fairing vent. Above in POST # 2 you can see the HD wings in the picture of my bike.Very flimzy. They have an outer rim (youcan see it in the picyure above also)that is fixed and it looks to me like it will break pretty easythey tip and angle of vent that grabs the air is completely opposite. They take more hand control to adjust then the Freedom wing as well and the freedom wing can be adjusted to any position within the swing of movement. The HD wing has a spring load with only3 positons. But strangely enough the spring is at the lower pivet point, right where the rain willgether up and rust the spring. I see future problems with the HD and the kury as well with the spring operation that they have.
Anyway, when I got home from the road trip I called Freedom Wings and no questions asked, they sent me new bracket. So I put my freedom wings back on and gave my HD wings away (a total waste of $90.00).

Here's a picture of my bike with the freedom wings on. This picture was taken a while back. If you compare the two pictures you can see how the two different wings work opposite of each other on how they grab the air.

I agree with the above statement!
And they're made in America by American Veterans.

I just got off the phone with RJ.
He is such a stand up guy and a man of honor. He really had no need to fix me up, since I was happy anyway.
But he took the time to anyway!!

Three cheers for RJ and his Heat Deflectors.
They can be seen at http://www.rjsoriginals.com/

a happy and satisfied customer
