Hey everyone first post in here.

I have got myself a 1992 Ultra Classic Electra Glide and I am going to strip it down and start to put a stretched rear fender and bags like this rear fender. But I can only seem to find them prefabricated on 93 models and up.
I was was hoping someone could stear me in the right direction.

Hi from the UK and welcome to HDF. Stretched fenders are a relatively modern thing and the stock ones have changed in various ways over the years. On your bike and my 1990 Glide, while they look the same as later bikes, they are actually a different shape. If you imagine comparing yours with a later one, the radius of the sideview is smaller on the later one, so the overall length is a couple of inches less than your current one. The way the later fender is attached to the bike is different, as also is the way the dual seat is secured.

I have an '08 fender on my '90 bike and I challenge anyone to tell the difference, however I have had to drill fresh mounting holes for it and be a bit creative with fastening the seat down. So it should be possible to adapt the stretched one you have found, if you are prepared to be a little creative and if all else fails. Someone may be along shortly to say they know of more suitable ones!
