Default Bike Lifts

I have seen several bikes on bike lifts on this forum. I have checked the local Lowes and Home Depot along with Autozone and Advance Auto and cannot find one. If you have a bike jack, would you mind posting a pic, part number, where you got it, and what it cost. Much appreciated.

From everything ah've read here, the Sears lift seems ta be the #1 choice overall.

Me, ah have a lift table, so all ah kin say is that ah gave away mah lift because ah wasn't happy with the stability of the bike - but ah tend ta be paranoid, too!

I have this one and really like it. http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/produ...seBVCookie=Yes
I have never been able to find the Kobalt one at Lowe's?

Sears yellow lift. Had the red one too but it sucks IMHO. I love the yellow one.

I bought the Sears red one and took it back. The lift arms are too wide to fit in the Touring bike's rear crossmember making for a lift with more wobble than I cared for.

I searched around and found one at Northern Tools that has arms that will fit in the crossmember. It also raise the bike 1.5" higher. In addition, it has a bit larger overall frame width and length, making it a bit more stable.

Can't vouch for the stability or anything, but Pep Boys has one on sale for $39 after the rebate.
I bought one for my cousin and he seems to like it, but I paid more for it.
I'll have to go to sears and see what it is that they have.

I will post my experience with the two different styles.

I have the red sears jack and have it about wore out. My buddie has a similiar jack to the sears yellow. Basically hand operated vs foot. It is much better built than the red jack but once I used it I knew I didn't want it.

It's difficult to lower the bike easily. It works like a floor jack so if you get the handle too tight it's a bit$h to lowere the bike slowly.

The other thing I didn't like is it ties up one hand jacking the bike up. I have to pull my bike straight up to get the jack under it. It's a pain to have to hold the bike and jack with the other hand.

I will be getting another foot jack of some kind.

On the plus side, regarding the red lift from Sears, is the price. I got mine for $69.00 on sale and, no more often than I need it, it works just fine!
