Default Best oil change kit box?

It's been a long wet winter that's left me cooped up thinking of ways to spend more time with my bike. Revzilla ads pop up often in my facebook feed and today i get an ad for the Red Line Big Twin PowerPack kit. I think it looks like a cool deal until I notice it doesn't even come with an oil filter. I've never used red line and, since i don't use my bike for track days or drag racing, I feel that most oil will be perfectly fine.

Then I remember that the MoCo has an oil change kit. So does Amsoil. So does S&S. Also some company called Maxima that I'm not familiar with. I know the Red Line kit is a complete 3 holer kit while the others are strictly engine oil and filter. I was pretty content with my choice to go with Amsoil until I watched the video and Lemmy is one hell of a salesman.

Without starting a which oil should is best debate, I'd like to hear from people that have bought the kits which one they got and how they like it.

My current kit is red line for the tranny bought online 3 quarts. Bought three oil filters and 3 quarts primary fluid from the Harley shop. Then I stopped at AutoZone and bought a case of 2050 Mobil 1
seems to be doing just fine I have one more oil change left in my kit.

I get the Red Line kit from Amazon. I think it runs about $100.00, you don't get a filter but Amazon had a sale last year for 5 K&N Filters for like $35.00 in black so I got them and still have two left. Only bad thing about the kit is you only get 1 quart of primary oil and it takes 38 oz on bike without the narrow primary.

i heard the tranny fluid looks like pepto. is that a real thing? i'm interested in the "shock proof" because my bike is pushing 50k.

You can't go wrong with Redline Oil. For a time I used it in all three holes, although I never bought it in the kit form because of the single quart of primary fluid. I eventually switched to F+ in the primary as the Redline primary fluid produced more noise from the compensator every time it'd engage. I did like the clutch feel with it though,

I still use RL oils in the engine and tranny. I love the Shockproof stuff, and yes, it looks like Pepto but smells like gear oil. Call me weird, but I actually like the gear oil smell coming from the bike when it's hot.

I've used the Maxima oils before, and Amsoil/Belray/MoCo oils, but the RL/F+ combo has become my current personal preference.

yeah i forgot how much the primary held last time but most people says it's a bit over 1qt. not sure if the kit is worth it if it shorts me on primary fluid.

Not telling you what to use, but I became a "Amsoil" baby distributor,,, or whatever. They have a program that costs you a couple bucks a year, you get a discount on their product. I do this every year and buy a case of their V-Twin oil. I want to say I get a12 pack case for just over $100. I get my filters from either the local dealer or the indy…. depending on where i'm at when it's time to change. I just look a bit for a sale price on trust worthy filter when it's oil change time, and use my Amsoil. Just something else to consider.

I like to put what's best for each hole. Red line shock proof for trans for sure. Primary I like to mix amsoil primary & ATF. Red line primary looks like ATF (over priced for what it is). Motor any good 20-50, which last year has been guick silver. Bosch filter. Harley filter and formal + would be ok but I just don't like using there oil and filter. Kits or same oil for all 3 just takes all the fun out of it for me

I use the redline kit which I got on Amazon and I am happy with it. You do have to buy an additional quart of primary but it will last you several oil changes since you are only using an extra 6 ounces.
