The tranny fluid is reddish pink like Pepto. don't know the powdered ingredient but it's likely some sort of talcum powder. Takes up or absorbs the shock load and likely helps keep oil adhered to the spinning gears. Working fine for me. Smoother - quieter upon shifts.

Fluid change kits are a great marketing tool for oil/fluid manufacturers. I've never used the same brand fluid for the engine primary and trans so a kit doesn't work for me. Just my preference. I've never seen a kit that represents a cost saving over sourcing the filter and fluids independently. At a time when the consuming public places a premium on ordering online and having product delivered to their front door, I'm confident the popularity of these kits will grow. As for me, I'll continue to use a multi brand collection of products (filter, primary fluid, trans fluid and engine oil) and leave my house to purchase these products. Old school. 67 years young.

I just changed my Primay and Trans today to Redline. I like the way it felt.

Like mentioned above, I use AMSOIL obtained at distributor prices for my motor oil. I use F+ for the primary and transmission, I get those and the oil filters at the dealer with my chrome points so I can’t remember the last time I’ve actually used money to pay for those. I change my eng and primary every 4,000 miles. Tansmission every 12,000. I buy my drain plug o-rings from amazon.

I stay away from the K&N oil filters like the plague, I’ve seen too many get stuck on a motor and what a PITA it is to remove. I’ve also seen one leak oil from that nut that gets welded on the end, the same nut that’s prone to strip.

Kits or same oil for all 3 just takes all the fun out of it for me
I will second the Quicksilver Full synthetic 20w50 motorcycle Oil. I use B&M trick shift tranny fluid in the primary on the recommendation of Energy 1 who's clutch set I have in the bike.and Shock proof for the tranny. I also have a reusable filter on the bike so I don't need to buy filters

I did a lot of reading on the Quicksilver oil. It is made by mercury Marine who has a great reputation for their oils and Fluids. It meets ll the specs.

I can get 3 quarts from my local walmart for what 1 quart of redline or mobile one or even the HD oils cost.

Does paying tripple the price for oil really mean you are getting something better?

if I paid cash for my kit, it would cost me $66. Since I only pay for engine oil, it sets me back $38.25. I think I may have replaced the derby cover gasket once out of 150,000 miles I’ve used them, they hold up just fine. Drain plug o-rings get replaced every time. Maybe I should start selling oil change kits! 😆

Since you asked, I went with the Red Line kit. I had to order one more quart of Primary lube- no big deal, that "extra" bottle will cover many oil changes. The funnel that came with it is pretty handy.
Plus I got a Red Line cap, and a bunch of stickers. Compared to buying all the bottles of stuff stand alone, it wasn't a bad deal.

Still need to get a filter, and gasket for the primary cover.

I like Red Line so I'll likely stick with it. Prices for the stuff are all over the place, when I need to order, I start searching Amazon, etc... several weeks in advance.
