Default Road King Stereo Speakers

I made the decision to add a sound system to my RK and I have seen Pod Speakers added to the crash bars that look great! The most recent threads I have seen and read show these Pods that are pretty big in size (perhaps 6-8 inches) they look and sound very good! Does anyone know the brands I might be talking about?
One other question has anyone tried speakers in a set of lowers? They were recommended to me today!
Thanks
Ranger Rick

I can't hardly hear the tunes on my Road Glide with upgraded amp and speakers. My hearing is crap so that doesn't help. Best of luck!!

I was considering all kinds of different options for music. Batwing Fairing with speakers. Saddle bag speakers. Saddle bag and tourpack speakers. Saddlebag and Lower fairing speakers. Went out and test rode a used CVO Ultra when going through this decision and I’m glad I did. I told me that no matter how damn loud the speakers are, wind noise is always a nuisance. I’d need to dump some serious coin into any audio solution just to be able to hear it on my king.

I just went went with a Cardo half helmet unit with earbuds and I no longer have to worry about wind noise or super loud speakers...and my wallet didn’t go empty over it.

I have over $1,000 invested in stereo, speakers and amp on my Limited. On my Road King I use a Sena bluetooth system in my helmet. At 70 mph on the interstate, the bluetooth in the helmet sounds clearer and louder.

Post 10 links to Tune Tata's. They might be what you are looking for.

I have the Boss Audio 600 watt systems with their 3" speakers on my handlebars. It's tight with the windshield bag, but I can hear it up to 70 or 80 mph pretty well

This is what I’m looking for, will it work with a full face helmet? Does the helmet need to be a certain brand?

My best friend does these, 1g will just get you started with him, he does state of the art. His shop is packed.

On my road king I'm a minimalist, iphone (I think its 132g. it was $900), sporting around 16,000 songs blutoothed to sena 20's (twin pack was about $450), sena also supplies the fm radio. Of course many years of hard living and rock and roll I'm hard of hearing but in my bell half helmet its still good volume at 70mph. Couldn't be happier. I just don't feel the need to be DJ for the planet.

We've got some killer handlebar/highway bar mounted motorcycle speaker systems you might want to check out. Not too big but push out some serious wattage... Great highway sound. We haven't heard of any other systems on the market that can come close...
