I’m putting Paul yafee 12” monkey bars in my 2016 street glide should I change the bushings? What bushings should I use?

I bought the poly bushings that HD shows on their website. When I was talking to the guy doing the install he said better bushing weren't needed like they used to be and that I could have stayed with the stock bushings. He stated the stock bushings are made a lot better than they used to be and I had a new bike. I already purchased them so I had him put them on anyway. Better safe then sorry since I had already spent so much on cables and bars.

I have never not changed mine. It's cheap, easy, and you already have everything off so why not

OE bushings are fine, we always sell the super clamp whenever we do a bar job. Helps greatly reduce the risk of the bars rotating since there's more leverage on them.

You'll already be in there to change the bars. Change over to the HD poly's. Will eliminate 99% of the play.

On my 2008 I went with poly bushings and it was definitely a good change. With my 2011 though, they seemed quite stiff already even with my new bars (10") so I saw no need. PO's records don't show the bushings having ever been changed.
