I've got a mustang seat being redone with a gel pac. It will likely be April by the time I get to the City to pick it up and our spring arrives. I'll give you my 2 cents worth then. Sorry thats the best I can do.

You will have to cover it in the summer , that gel gets super heated with the sun beating down on it.......

Had a gel pad put in my 03 few years back, I found no significant improvement for the costs.

had one installed in my street glide seat and have another that lays on top of the seat riding on both was not worth the investment. the $120 dollar air hawk did the trick.

Agree with both, no improvement and gets hot in the sun.
Just say no.

ive always heard that when its warm out the gel traps the heat...... id skip it... i have a Corbin seat.... f ing comfortable..... if you are wanting cause your seat isnt comfortable id look at different ways to just get the seat re worked... Mean City Cycles recently recovered my seat... they do a ton of mods and are very knowledgeable...

Gel in thin seats like on a bicycle is beneficial to reduce high pressure points but on top of foam it really does little for comfort and it does get hot.
