That depends where you live and if you want to ride in cold weather. These batteries tend to die when they get below freezing. Just go look at the recommendations for the Lithium Ion jump boxes

But don't they have built in protection against freezing ? I hear they also catch on fire.

Giving rise to another question; where do you store your fire extinguisher ?

 

You store it under the seat,bolted down,ha ha.

 

Yeah, they'll warm up quick, but the ignition's not on command, it's random. Nice surprise package.
