Well I was cooking through some twisties the other day and i mean scrappin the boards hard on every turn. Enter this lefthander and lean her down, board starts to scrap, then in the middle of the turn is this massive dip. Well I hit the dip, bike bottoms out and smacks the board mount. Smacked it so hard it stood the bike up half way through the turn. So now Im heading straight towards a granite wall at 65 mph. I hauled ont he brakes for all of 6 feet when I notice the gravel im about to hit before making my own "harley mine" so I drop off the brakes and start to lean her over again. I thought for sure it would lowside. I mean I probably scrubbed off 10-15 mph but now Im trying to take a hot corner on gravel. I swear it must have been an Angel holding that bike up because it didnt even wobble. no skidding, no slidding, just a smooth turn.
My Guardian Angels fly fast apparently!
moral of the story, go fast if you want, but know the road. that crash would have been instant death.
Guess I better get that Ducati to go carving on, lol.
Did the same thing in a hard left hander (before removing the rear lowering kit). Same result, bike straightened up in the middle of the turn, just like yours, saw my life flash before me[:@]
Glad it wasn't worse. Always a fear I have. Not being able to take a curve at speed. I have been riding for a long time, and in the corners, I still get a little unnerved.
