I prefer the look of gloss black, the only issue will be getting an exhaust to match. I’ve spoken to several powder coaters and they said they didn’t think the PC would hold up with the heat.
I will add this... I think your bike blacked out will look great with either choice. That being said I don’t think the black holds up as well as the chrome. It seems to age faster and I’m speaking from have added black to my bikes since 2012.
Good Luck...

In my opinion there's nothing uglier than a motorcycle that looks like it was dipped in a flat black or gloss black tar pit. Motorcycles should be shiny with lots of chrome or bright colors not dull and boring so that they get lost in a sea of mediocre sameness. I walk into dealerships today and the showroom look like a funeral procession instead of a 4th of July fireworks display.

As mentioned, gloss is easier to clean but chrome is even easier. My first Harley was a Nightrain, I loved the look but hated it at the same time. I love to ride and hate to clean. I would spend hours making it pristine, One ride and it looked like I hadn't done anything. Especially since I would commute on it and it would sit outside all day. Look great when I got there. A little mist or dew, little bit of a breeze and there would be dirt all over it when I left. Second bike was pewter pearl. ( silver). Now it only gets washed when the indy has it for a tire or repair and it still doesn't look too bad.
Since your bike is already denim, flat would probably look better with the paint. Might even give it a little bit of a rat bike look which is cool. You could wrap the pipes then. Either way, be prepared to spend a lot of time cleaning it.
