Default JD Customs Road King FXDXT fairing

Hi guys. JD Customs has come out with a FXDXT fairing for Road Kings. My friend is thinking about getting it and having a different look than anyone else with a Road King in our area. Take a look and let me know what you think. My friend will be removing his Carlini apes and replace them with Hardcase performance risers and some sort of MX bars along with some sort of electronic gauge. Either a Dakota digital oval one or what Krause Moto sells.

That is pretty much the ugliest Road King that I have ever seen, thanks to the fairing. Bur does it really matter to you or your friend what anyone else thinks?

Wink

Had many happy hours on my genuine FXDXT! That photo exagerates the fairing a little too much for my liking and would be better taken from further away, which may help 'nobody' above like it a little more!

True but OP resurrected the other thread. If ya can't read what ya want out of one thread maybe ya can out of the other?

From a performance bagger stand point, I think asthetics looks good.

Issue with tsport fairings is buffeting. If your shorter than your all good. A tall bloke will be in a paint shaker

Get some pics farther away

If your buddy gets tbars or mx bars that are more than 28" wide..... It will look un- proportional

Keep the bars narrow to fit the style

At 5'7 he is making the cut for it lol. He is most likely getting the Hard Case Performance risers with some sort of MX bar. Maybe a protaper

The actual fairing looks great. The windshield is a little big in proportion which makes it looks kinda weird. Totally get why it's that tall though...

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder......

My opinion means nothing, but, I don’t think the look fits the RK at all....my opinion would be to go get a Dyna in or with that style of fairing setup.....

In the end, your buddies opinion is the only one that matters - for his bike.
