Default Seat fitment question

Been looking for a solo seat for my '07 RKC for awhile now. Found one I like locally on Craigs; the seller says the description reads "Will fit 97-05". But I'm thinking, if the seat came out in '05, maybe that's why the description doesn't include later models. So I was wondering....will a seat designed to fit an "05 FLHRC fit my '07? Are they interchangeable? Anyone?

All the seats I've seen for the early models say 97-07 so I would think it should fit, if it's local just ride over & see.

Just take a look at the "nose" of the seat. The major difference is how high it reaches up the tank, typically the Road King has a longer console that extends further back towards you. A RKC seat will work on the other FLH models with a filler piece to meet the console but not the other way around.

It will fit.

97-07 have the same seat mounts. I think they changed them in 08 when HD went to the 6 gallon fuel tank on the touring bikes.

Im looking for a different seat for my 12 Road Glide Ultra and was looking at one from a Street Glide on ebay (part# P52320-11). It says it will fit but is there any where I can check to make sure? I hate how bulky the passenger seat is on the stock seat and the SGs seat looks much better.

if you go on Harlys site and type in the part number of the seat it will tell you all the bikes it fits. BTW youll hate the SG seat. Theyre awful for any time over an hour or so

I'll vouch for hating the street glide seat. The same seat comes on the road glide special and I have put up with it for over 2 years and it sucks. I only use it around town as I bought an ultra seat for long trips. The only thing that make the stock seat near to being comfortable is an air hawk cushion.
