There's been an H-D service bulletin on it for a couple of years. The MoCo suggests that the dealers swap the rotors, as Rico450r mentioned. It helps.

I had a front brake clicking noise on my '06 RKC that developed afterthe first2000 miles or so.It sounded like a spoke was loose or something was dragging. I checked everything I could think of and eventuallytook it to the dealer.....they fixed it. Not sure what they did, but the clicking noise is gone.

I put floating rotors on the front and haven't looked back.

Ditto Bay13. Went to floating rotors front and rear. NO NOISE! And much better braking. Someday, I will install Lyndell pads. ........... BC

Just noticed mine make a rubbing noise at about the 500 mile mark. Gonna give it a little while to see if the pads "seat". My 02 sporty rear brake never stopped. just got used to it.

Had the noise and a sqeak when braking. Filled the cast wheel with foam/silicone and the sqeak stopped. Still had the drag noise, had the rotors swapped, and now seems like all the noise is gone, for now. I am a happy camper. BTW, some really loud pipes drown out the noise, LOL
