Default 1.22.0.1 Sofware File Question

I have looked through numerous threads in the forum, but I cannot find the answer I am looking for. I am trying to update to 1.22.0.1, and I am trying to locate the ISO file in the download that I need to load onto my thumb drive. When the .zip is finished downloading and I unzip it, there are (7) folders displayed.

armlet
bin
etc
lib
mnt
sbin
usr

I have looked through the files and cannot for the life of me find the ISO file I need. So, with that being said, I am assuming this is a user error as I have to believe the process is much more intuitive that I am making it out to be here. For that reason, I humbly as the group for assistance as to what I am doing wrong here. If it helps I am on a PC running Windows 10.

I would try unzipping into the root directory of your USB thumb drive. ThumbDrive/

Clean up your drive first by putting existing files in a new folder Thumb/OldCrap/

The download file is an ISO. Copy it to your USB drive and follow the instructions.
  1. Use a PC and insert a USB flash drive that is 8GB or larger.
  2. Download the software update on your computer.
  3. When the download is complete, copy the file within the zipped folder to the USB flash drive.
  4. Turn your vehicle's ignition switch to ACCESSORY. (Keyless ignition vehicles: press and hold the trip switch for more than two seconds).
  5. Insert the USB flash drive to the infotainment system's USB port.
  6. The infotainment system will detect the new software available and ask if you want to update. Select “Yes”. The display will prompt you to remove the USB drive when the update is successfully completed.

Somehow you are opening the .iso and seeing the files inside of it. The file that extracts from the .zip should be the ISO.

As stated above, clean up your USB so nothing is on it. Then, while having the .zip file on your PC, right click on it and select "Extract to", then select your USB as the destination. When it's done, eject the USB and plug it into your bike.

I just downloaded the zip and opened it. It is an iso file.

Let me give that a try when I get home. I was using the default windows program to unzip it. I will try what you guys are saying. I have no issues getting it onto the Bonn Box, I was just “challenged” by this download. New computer, I’m just going to blame it! Thanks Gents.

Default Thank you

Gents, I appreciate all the help on this. Turns out it was more simple than I thought (which is usually the case). The thumb drive I was using was formatted in exFAT vice the correct FAT32. Bought a cheap one at the store, put the download on there and it worked instantly.

Again, I appreiate the assistance. Take care.
