maybe check the simple first...are your trottle cables adjusted properly? if the pull cable has slipped or is way out of adj the bike just wont wind up like it should...it must touch the stop on the side of your throttle body....also, make sure you havent sucked something into your intake...good luck

Are there any more symptoms??? Leaking somewhere, oil pressure (Gauge) drop, or anything else???

Could it simply be that something just got some moisture in it??

What about a fouled plug, or simply just need a new set??

The bike has 22,000 but I dont know if its ever had a set...

Low oil level in the tank when you notice the low power would be an indication that it is sumping when this happens. Try Idling it upright at a standstill when this happens and see if the oil level comes back up again assuming it was at the full mark (or close) to start with.

MOISTURE....Highly doubt it.

What about a fouled plug... You would feel the miss usually when2 cyl fires on only one.You said it runs OK sometimes?

Went out just a minute ago, and rode it around the block. I noticed that I cant get it to rev any higher than 4000, and it was slow getting past 3000 rpm's....another sign perhaps???
A rather good indication there.

Yes, now that I am really paying attention, the symptoms are;

At cold crank, low power, will not turn over 4000 RPM's
Oil pressure, fine
Oil level seems to be about right
As engine warms, it turns more RPM's
Recently (less than 1 week) was in shop for partially clogged oil pressure relief valve
No miss at any speed

Oh trust me it will be.......its just that they are closed today, and I am trying to kinda get an idea what might be wrong, which is hard to do behind a keyboard.........

Never had a problem with my Yammie...Ughhhhh
Why is your dealer closed today, I thought the July 4th was the holiday.

There's always the possibility of a defective Cylinder head temp sensor that is misreading the temp of the engine and loading it up with fuel but that would most likely act opposite of what you explained here.. Smell the oil and see if you can detect a good whiff of fuel in it.

HD Maintanence Law: 99 times out of 100 when something goes wrong it's connected to the last thing that was fixed/replaced, even if they don't immediately appear to be connected.

Our Dealers, here in SE Tennessee, are always closed on Mondays, and also the holidays....

Interesting...I took it home at kunch and swapped to the truck so it would be coole when I get off. I have a couple of things that I am going to check per the different posts on here, however, I am afraid its going back to the dealer Tuesday morning, and then I get to hear "well we are slammed and the 4th is Wed, so it will be the end of the week before we get to look at it"....

Thats part of the reason for asking all of the questions, because IF it were to be something simple, I could fix it and go on down the road....

HD Maintenance law...LOL now thats a good one, and unfortunately, probably true.

Sounds like sumping to me too. There's a plug on the bottom, under the cam chest...take it out and see how much oil comes out. If there's more than a few ounces, it's probably sumping.

Don't know how handy you are, if you want to check the values on the engine temp sensor located on the back of the foward head.

Not a good idea, they are put in at the factory with locktite and there's a possibility of cracking the case trying to remove it. I have heard of this happening when trying to get that plug out. I would leave that up to the dealer and if it results in a problem , it's their problem then.
