Default Happy wife on the RKC, need some quidence

Ok, Here she is. The bike and her smile as promissed in earlier post.

Weneed some suggestions and help to get this thing right. I need to lower the ride height by about 2 to 3 inches. She likes the stock seat soI am assuming a lowering kit will be involved. She also wants new handle bars that will get thecome back around 6 or so inches and up 3 or 4.

Other than that we will be adding a big sucker, 2/1 pipe andSERT or Auto Tune at 1000 mile service. 900 miles to go and of all week. What a challenge.

Dropping the bike 2" will affect the ride - don't think you can go 3" - getting a different seat will help... Look at Corbin - How short/tall is she?? I am 5'6" and ride both the EG and RG with No problems and I carry my wife and its fully loaded - and I am OLD.... lol...

She actually rides my Street Glide with no problem. I have a brand new Corbin Solo Classic that I bought for my Street Glide but after 3 hrs and two different days, I can't get the dang thing to release right once on the bike. I was finally able to loosen the back bracket and get it off. It is in the box as we speak to be shipped back or sold. I could try it on the RKC though. It may line up better but she really likes the stock seat. The change in bars may put her in a better position to not need the lowering.

A RKC you can drop the rear 1" without getting in to a clearance problems... Handle bars??? Look at Wild 1's WO575 or there Mini Ape's - Seat if she likes the OEM set just send it out to Mean City Cycles - From what I read on theses forums they know what they're doin...

Man from looking at that pic, it looks like she has somelong legs, not seeing the lowering part, but anywho. Here's a link to some great bars to choose from. Nice looking wife and bike.

You can buy the same rear shocks as your SG has from HD. They will lower the rear about an inch. They also sell lower springs for the forks but that would be more involved work. I suggest trying the rear shocks and see how she feels then go from there.

Good looking ride!

Ride Safe,

Mike

TWO THINGS THAT I HAVE JUST BEEN THRU AND I HOPE TO SAVE YOU SOME MONEY.....WORKSPERFORMANCE SHOCKS 12" MADE TO HER WEIGHT AND THE NEXT THING IS A CORBIN "CLOSE"SEAT WITH A COMPLETE "NOSE" JOB. THE STD. CLOSE SEAT IS 1.5" FORWARD AND THEY WILL CUSTOM ONE 2.5" FORWARD AND THE NOSE JOB MAKES THE SEAT MORE NARROW IN THE LEG SECTION SO YOUR LEGS ARE NOT HELD OUT BY THE SEAT WIDTH. FOOD FOR THOUGHT !!!!

WORK DONE ON MY ROADKING!!!
