JMJohn is likely on hiz way from/to one rally or another - he attends most of 'em personally.

 

I got the half helmet or helmetless headsetmade by IMC, and it works good, except i had to turn up the setings on to mike to to trigger on, for the intercom.

 

Quick question, does the ultra come with head sets or is it like anything else, optional extras for standard equipment.

 

new Ultras come with one headset so you can talk to yourself and look cool doing it

If you've read the previous threads then you'll know that I didn't think the volume on the HD headsets was loud enough and that the mics on the J&Ms just didn't do what I wanted them to (VOX even less sensitive than on the HD originals). So I made a hybred. Used my HD mics with a set of J&M ear piece speakers (which they will see you separately). It was a little work but I've been very pleased with the results for over a year now. The J&M speakers offer MUCH better sound (both in freq response and in volume) over the OEM headsets.

I had H D headsets.When the speaker wore out I bought J&M headsets. I like the J&M microphone alot better than the HDsets.I can adjust the VOX where it works without shouting but does not pickup much road noise.
The HD speakers sound much better to me.The J&M speakers sound tinny and hollow.I told my wife they remind me of being a kid and talking with two cans and a string.
Everyone has a different sound they like.
The J&M cables do not fall out as badly as the HD cables and they are a little longer too.
