Default WO515 10” Mini Ape

I was thinking about going taller on my bars and then....

I kicked the Bars pretty far forward probably 10° - 15° out of line with the forks and find that my arms are a lot higher. I don’t feel like I’m reaching down to the bars and after a quick 10 minute ride they seem way more comfortable.

I got a 45 minute ride to work on Monday followed by about an hour and a half ride home. Lately it’s been messing with my shoulders and neck but I’m hoping this tweak to the bars will fix it.

Im pretty sure when the steeler had my bike a few months back they pulled them back more than I normally have them. That’s about the time I started to get uncomfortable.

Hopefully this works for now as I’m really not up for wiring up some taller bars.

Although the bars look nicer in line with the forks the more comfortable way is forward. So you share the strain between arms and shoulders.

I agree so far... That long commute home with tons of lane splitting will be good enough to tell if I’m ordering new bars or not.

Anyone else run these bars on a Road King? How’s the long distance comfort?

For me, they're perfect. I also run them a little forward of the fork line.

Nice Scoot... I got mine maybe another inch forward than you. I’ll post back in a hundred miles.

Thinking of adding those bars to my 04 King. Or maybe, Wild 1 12.5" apes because I have a Cop seat which sits me higher.

I can't comment on your bars but do agree that getting bars 'just so' can make a big difference to ride comfort on longer trips. It's quite fascinating to see and feel how the bars change geometry as they swing through the loosened clamps.

I'm not sure if you're serious or being sarcastic. You foreigners are so dry.

I replaced my stock bars with 8" Twin Peaks and just the change in hand position made a huge difference in comfort. More forward and wrists turned out a bit. The curl and position of the stock bars killed my shoulder blades. Doing it again I would probably go 10".
