Why would I be sarcastic? I have found it fascinating to see how the bars seem to change shape while moving them in the clamps. It amazes me that so many owners talk of changing bars when they haven't tried adjusting the pair they already have. As for HDF, we're all foreigners - pretty well every country around the World is represented in here!

I ended up rolling my stock bars up. Will try that for a while and see how I like it.

I thought you trying to say the bars would shift even if the clamp was tight. That's why I asked.
I'm glad you clarified yourself. And the foreigner thing was Me being sarcastic.

I did find that rolling the bars forward stopped the throttle "goose" in dips and over bumps because it straightened my arms
so they didn't pivot in the bounce.

Bumping up the 10” bars did the trick. Hour and 20 minutes ride home and felt great the whole time. Good Stuff!

I went from stock bars on my 09' King (worst stock bars by the way in the history of EVER!!!) and went to Heritage bars.....which essentially are 10" mini's. What a HUGE difference. I wouldn't mind them being an inch higher but totally changed the ride. I sit more upright, shoulder pain is gone and slow turn maneuvering is so much easier now. After reading this thread, I may try to move them a hair forward to see if that will put them a bit higher like I want. Great suggestion!

There’s nothing that can be done for stock RK bars. Those were made as some sort of torture device! I felt the same about my stock bars on an 01 Fatboy as well, had to stop at about the hour mark and do neck stretches.

I have these on my 04 RK but wish I had gone with the 14's. Still it's better than stock.

I think the 10’s are good for now... I’m comfortable with the adjustment and have some other upgrades that I can work on before taller bars. I’ll go 16” when I do just to make sure I have no regrets on not going tall enough.

Try taller risers first to see if you like the height before investing in taller bars. And to see if the wires and cables reach
