As the others have said, one quart. Drain the primary with the bike on the jiffy stand. Remove the derby cover and primary chain tensioner inpection cover with the bike level. Refill with primary lubricant through the inspection cover opening also with the bike level. You might want to make yourself one of these handy things: www.nightrider.com/biketech/bikelift.htm

Oh, and get the shop manuel for your bike from the dealer. Worth it's weight in gold.

Measure what you drain out. Some shops put in more than the 32 ounces to get "up to the spring plate". This causes difficulty finding neutral.

Its always nice to know what you "had" and what you "have".

Check the manual.

32 ounces is a start. It has to be up to the spring plate on the clutch. It comes to around 38 ounces.

This is what I do and have no shifting issues.

I pour a QUART in my 04 egs

manual says that, nothing saidabout adding more. No issues,,,,gets it to the cluch plates just fine.
