Default Mini Antenna Flag

Anyone looking for a nice mini antenna flag without the cost of an expensive bracket or the size of the Harley tour pak flag check here.................

http://www.armynavyshop.com/Merchant...roduct_Count=0

Slides right on the mast....from the bottom...........thru a reinforced clear plastic tube. I just shrank a little shrink tubing arond the mast for traction and attached a mini cable tie above the flag to keep it from riding up the mast. Seeing as it is free to rotate it never tangles............and they are only 3 bucks!!!!

Maybe for cheap Jap crap. No problem for 70,000 miles for mine.

Nice addition to the conversation. You might be interested to know (if you can git yer head outta the nether regions long 'nuff ta notice) that the antenna's are US made of SS. It's not a question of where they're made, it's an issue of metal fatique.

Yeah, and maybe if you spent as much time reading as you do typing that annoying phoney southern accent, you'd see that the point is that the Harley antennas are something other than SS, which is more brittle than other steel, hence, many miles of hard use, no breakage.

Yer right - ah've only got 9k miles on mah 7 month-old UC. Would be ridin' today, but havin' ta mow an' such. You do as ya wish with the flag - mah comments were simply fer info fer folks ta consider, they kin do as they wish. Metal fatique is metal fatique - not ta mention the mount points...

An' frankly, if mah accent annoys ya, then don't read it.

Geeeeee..........sorry I brought it up. FYI......I had one of these on my 92 and never had a problem. I cut my mast down to 28" and with the flag installed at the base I would think if it broke your mast off you have a real problem.............but then Goldwings always fly their flags at the top of the mast to attract attention as no one really looks at the bike going by. I suppose that would fatigue a mast.

Shucks no - ah LIKE the idea, an' when ah had the Wing ah ran the flags low - but danged iffen ah didn't snap a coupla masts in the process! It may not be a problem on the HD - would be nice if it ain't - but sometimes we find stuff that causes problems on ONE bike kin on another as well.
