new dyno figures
Well got in a big hurry leaving yesterday and left my SERT at home.
Didn't realize until was already at the dealer in Greeley and had swapped out my pipes.
I bought bike 11/2005 and on same day did S/E A/C and stage one and Sampson slipons for baggers. Ran great 6-7 months then was losing power on road after about 30-45 minutes.
did 06A injector up grade---no help
2nd dealer insisted SERT was needed and different mufflers SERT helped a very little.
never proved mufflers were at fault
2nd dealer rebuilt engine under warranty still didn't help still did not prove muffler theory.
AFTER wreck dealer returned bike to me 100% stock
so now I am starting over with all my original performance parts.
Here's the basic specs from the three different dyno runs during the past 1 1/2 months.
100% stock 06 flhtci 59.2 hp @ 5k rpm 66.29 torque @ 3500 rpm
S/E A/C (w/ sert) 64.56hp @ 5300 rpm 67.16 " " @ 4k rpm
added (my original) Sampsons today but did NOT retune going to run this way a month or so.
A/F ratio is still good as is.
66.41 hp @5500 rpm 71.77 torque @3600 rpm
My figures are getting better.
Plus My mileage yesterday was better.
Filled up Friday night to base of filler neck, rode 2 up back home about 20 miles 60-65mph
rode one up about 65 miles 50-60mph to dealer (g/f was on her suzuki with me).
rode same back to town and out to house.
Then 2 up again from house back to town.
Fuel light finally came on at 185 miles took 4.37 gal approx 42.3 mpg
Will run this way a month or so and see how it goes.
Dealer kept blaming my power loss on muffler but never proved it.
Have not had any problems since I got back from dealer stock in May, or with the A/C and sert tune.
No problems yesterday either after mufflers were installed.
But a mark I had on the rocker boxes and the cam chest cover are gone after I got it back from stealer after wreck.
For them to "maybe" go in and fix the oil pump sumping and be quiet about it would be cheaper than the lawsuit from insurance company. You know CYA
So we will see how it runs now.
BTW g/f came home with an 07 sporty no more metrics here, she's impressed with better handling.
Bought her a bottle of ketchup before we went to watering hole. Had to eat her words from night before, that she would NEVER buy a HD!

RE: new dyno figures
So far they have been great to work with.
Very friendly and remember your name between visits.
Chuck (tuner tech) takes his time and thinks about what he's doing and when done will
explain things to you, and LISTENS to you about whatever and you can watch the process.
They always wash or offer to wash bike after any service.
The other dealer was Thundermountain.
Back in the day when it was Johns HD in Ft. Collins and when it first became Thunder mountain it was good.
But the new owners are the ones that only want your money.
I told them to fix my bike so it ran as it did the first six or so months.
after the wreck they returned it 100% stockand not with the performance parts on it.
They even removed the stage one d/l which was a warrantable item. And refuse to give me credit for it.
They kept blaming my mufflers, but NEVER in 6 months they had bike proved their theory.
They will NEVER get my business again and I won't recommend them.
Three times I tried to talk with the owners about the problem and work it out amicably, but the owner refused to call me back let alone make an appointment to visit face to face.
That is NOT a business person that cares about his customers and repeat business.
But there's enough RUB's out there to keep him in business for awhile.
Plus their prices on bikes are higher than Greeley and Sun HD from what I see.
G/f just got a 07 sporty with S/E pipes, A/c and stage one for floor price $8055 at Greeley
Plus about $200 in free goodies.
