Default Aftermarket LED taillights (Cycle Visions Lucifer)

I recently installed Cycle Visions Lucifer tail lights and everything went together pretty well. My only complaint is that I have had two lights go out within 3 months of installing them. Does anyone have any experience with Cycle Vision products, are they just junk? Or is it possible that they are taking on too much voltage which is causing it to fail?

Never heard of the Cycle Vision...

Ive got a BAL2 that is rock solid and stupid bright...Custom Dynamics is a good option also with the lifetime warranty..but king of the hill is the Bright *** light IMO...unless you have the bullet run/brake/turns (BAL doesnt make those)..then its CD all the way...look at those plus their plasma rods...

Great member on here Mobeus frequently has some for sale...thats where I got mine...

BAL1 or BAL2 will not let you down or disappoint. I’ve got a BA1 for the last 3 years and zero issues.

Is it true on year model 14 and up you don’t need a load equalizer when adding aftermarket LED lights?

That's what Custom Dynamics' site says.

I just ponied up the cash for CD's Genesis led inserts and load equalizer for my 2011, well worth it IMO. They're nicely built and bright as frig.

FWIW - I was planning to get a BAL for the 08 I had prior...

+1 no doubt!

B.A.L. went into my '09 RK as one of the first mods and went at least 8 years without flaw (I don't recall exactly when I installed it). Love the magnet method of changing modes, though I had no need for any of the MANY parade and various strobe effects. Just wanted max brightness with a set of quick flashes before solid red.

I put the Custom Dynamics run/brake/turns in the rear of my 2018 SG and the White/amber turns in the front with no equalizer and they work perfectly.

I'm running CD on my '13 with no equalizer.
