Default Snap Ring Size

Changing the levers on my 2015 Street Glide and I launched one of the bastards into orbit!!

Anyone know what size they are? From what I've been able to find so far the clutch and brake sides are different size with the being 3/6 and 5/16 respectively. Thanks in advance!

PN42860-06B front brake lever pin and retainer, can't find any info on the size mentioned anywhere. they are sold as a set by the looks of things.

had better luck with the clutch side, PN11143 clutch pivot pin retaining ring. from McMaster Carr - Part #98410A118 is a pack of 100 13/32 zinc yellow and chromite external snap rings which are identical and equivalent to HD's #11143 retaining ring.

If all you need is one just go to the dealer for it. They know what size it is. They'll either sell one to you for $25 or just give it to you. They probably have hundreds of them laying around. The other option is to bring the retaining pin with you to an auto parts store. They can find the correct external snap ring for you. Probably charge you $0.10.

Buy a set of them from Harbor Feight. The right size is in there. Probably like $8 for about 25 assorted sizes.

Better yet replace it with an e-clip, no need for snap ring pliers.

Just take the pin to your local Ace store. They will have one.

I've tried the hardware store approach w/ this....either too big or too small and I have them in the garage to prove it. Maybe need a better hardware store.

Got a big bag from Grainger....but now I found they are for my old bike- too small! Need some for my touring bikes.
