Even tho the motor cranks over via the jumper, It wouldn't surprise me if the ECU won't start adding fuel / spark until it sees a start button message on the can. Fuel Pump prime says the BCM is good.

Add

Try tapping on the start switch.

Other than my snap-on scanner with HD program, what other scanners are offered. Also I have power to the switch so what should the voltage be on the can wire, ones for them is for the flashers.

doesn't help you this time, but in the future, if you have to disconnect your battery, before you do anything, disarm your security. then pull your maxi fuse. then you can start disconnecting your battery cables. especially important to do this if you have the optional siren installed, unless you like ear piercing noises....

My '17 Softail is in the shop right now getting a new handlebar start/kill switch for a no start condition. Saw someone else had that, might be common problem.
