Default A Little Mess

I was using Turtle Wax Chrome polish on my primary and cam cover, got some little smears of it on the black wrinkle....What works best for cleaning the black wrinkle on the engine? Thanks...

That and an old toothbrush works well.

Creamy peanut butter will remove wax or polishes from unwanted areas.

Try Turtle wax ICE instead of the regular stuff. No white crust or stains on rubber, plastic or the wrinkle paint. I have been using it for over three years now on my bike and my jeep. LOVE IT!!!

Throw away that wax that leaves residue as there are really good ones that don’t.

Anything the turtle makes is bottom of the barrel stuff. With that said, even better products can stain trim, or in your case the wrinkle black.
A good quality all purpose cleaner that is designed for automotive use would be my first choice. AP and a tooth brush and go to town.
You will get answers from peanut butter to toothpaste to who knows what.
automotive trim, wrinkle black and a lot of other stuff can stain from waxes, polishes and compounds. Each needs to be treated differently. Whatever you choose to use, test it in a hidden spot to make sure there is no damage

Never tried the S100 for removing wax, but it sure makes the black of the engine look BRAND NEW.
Amazing stuff. That's all I use it for. The black seems to dull a little grayish over time, but that stuff works wonders.
