Default Pre '06 Tour Pak complete led conversion... $34!

I switched out the 1157 bulbs in my tour pak for red flashing led bulbs from Amazon.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075G4MDSM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075G4MDSM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I also replaced the side marker lights with red led strips from Amazon.

Before...

After...

During...

For $34, I am more than pleased.

Looks good. Do the side lights use adhesive to attach to the tour pak? Any pictures of the side lights with the red plastic lens reinstalled?

They have a self adhesive backing. I wiped the tour pak surface down with an alcohol swab and just stuck it on there. The "After" picture IS with the lens reinstalled.

Got it, looks good and a big improvement. Going to do the sides on mine.

you only need a load equalizer for turn signals. leds have a much lower current draw than the incandescent bulbs so the ecm 'thinks' that you have a bulb blown and will flash fast to let you know. you can generally get away with changing either front or rear with led and no load equalizer, but not both. also, with the rushmore bikes and can-bus, a load equalizer is not necessary, so 2013 down.

Did you go with clear/white lites or with red? I like it and may need to do this too.

skratch beat me to it. So far I've converted the side marker lights to led strips and the tour pak and fender tail/brake lights to led bulbs with no load equalizer. My plan is to slowly convert all the lights to led. I'll save the turn signals/load equalizer for last.

I went with red leds under red lenses. I'm guessing the red leds would look fine under smoked lenses and the white leds would look fine under red lenses though...

The only modification I had to make to the lenses was to take a file and open up this middle section a little bit for the led strip to have room to fit underneath. The led strips can be cut to fit. I had to cut the last three leds off to make it the right length. Also, you can see in one of the pictures in the original post, I spliced the original wire connection onto the wires of the led strip.
