Default Cruise control roll off switch location

Where is this ROLL OFF switch located on the cable, near the throttle twist grip control or down near the throttle body? I have an 09 Ultra Classic and when I added turn signal extension buttons I some how messed up the cruise.

Doesn't the '09 have throttle by wire?

I dont think there is a switch, since the roll off function is simply rolling the throttle forward from its natural stopping point.

I also have an '09 ultra with cruise control... well, with all the bells & whistles.

I think the "switch" is integrated into the throttle position sensor (twist grip)... probably not anything to do with the throttle body. It sounds like you know how it works... just not sure why it's not working as you expect after messing with the turn signal buttons.

I've never had it apart... so, I won't be much help. Have you tried looking for an exploded diagram of the switch cluster and/or throttle control to see if the "ah-ha light" comes on?

It's a function of the TPS inside the handlebar.

I'm not sure what it takes to install those buttons, but check your clutch switch and brake switch behind the levers. If either is not properly working it can create issues with cruise.

ah... good catch.

The OP didn't explain the symptoms he's experiencing. So what exactly is happening with the cruise control?

I assumed cruise comtrol would activate as it should, but not deactivate when the throttle is rolled forward.
