Default Best age hangers for women

Wife inherited my 16 road glide. The 14 inch apes were too tall and wide for her (factory 47's). She's 5'4" tall, 120lbs. I'm think 10-12 inch tall modest pull back and as narrow as possible. Any suggestions?

Set her on it and see where she wants her hands. I cant see this being any different than what wed tell a man.

I'd suggest modest height and more pullback than anything; women have longer legs/shorter body than comparably sized men, and IMHO regarding bars, comfort is mostly about not having to reach too far forward and being able to sit comfortably upright. If she's gonna need a "close" seat designed for shorter rider you'll want that installed before trying to figure out bars...

Not sure what AGE hangers are. Less than 14" aren't APE Hangers they're just handlebars.
Leave the bars on, have her reach straight forward to the bars (not the grips), and see how much lower that is than your 14s, then do the math. She'll also want a slight bend in her arms, but not too much so you can estimate pullback.
Have you tried rolling the existing bars back?

  • "Ape-hangers" — found mainly on choppers, these are handlebars of such exaggerated height that the rider has to reach up to them, hence the name. Fitted for the sake of appearance rather than comfort or safety, they may cause numbness in the hands, but the use of throttle locks or cruise controls[6] may help alleviate such symptoms. Some jurisdictions restrict the maximum height of ape-hangers for safety reasons.[7]
