Difference Between Street Glide and Road Glide?

RE: Difference Between Street Glide and Road Glide?
Barry:
Go to the HD website for a comparison. It would take a LOT of space up here to go into all the detail and opinion. Plus, a trip to the dealer would answer a lot that isn't readily viewable on the website.
Nice Sporty, BTW. Mighty fun tossing it about in town, I'd bet.

I'll throw out a few of the obvious differences:
- The RG has a fixed, shark-nose fairing and the SG has a fork-mounted batwing fairing.
- The RG has a plain cast aluminum engine and the SG has a black anodized engine.
- I have heard, though I don't know through experience, that the RG handles better at highway speed.
- Oh, and the SG looks waaaaaay better.
(All right RG guys, just kidding about the last one. I happen to think the RG looks awesome, especially a couple I've seen here. Nightglide's bike comes to mind, and another RG with red anodized spoked wheels. Sorry, don't remember the owner.)

I like 'em both, despite one's obvious cosmetic defiencies!

Like the above reply suggest, go to your dealer and ask questions. Take each out for a long test ride and evaluate what each bike has to offer YOU. Then let me know which color Road Glide you choose!![sm=groupwave.gif]

street glide alllllll the WAY!
Sorry, didn't mean to whisper then shout, but that had to be said! Both are awesome bikes, and one is sure to fit your style. Rides are both awesome, parts and accessories are abundant (ouch$$$) and the tunes are a nice touch! I bought one and said goodbye to riding my Sporty.
