Now is maybe the time to buy.

RE: Now is maybe the time to buy.
I have done business with a small dealer in OK. It is a Honda and a HD dealer. He sells all HD bikes at MSRP + $12.00 OTD and thats is it all year long(no set up/deliver)...guess what HD will only give him so many bikes and he has almost no 2007s left.
If the dealers price them fair, the bikes sell.

The dealer in Marion, IL (Campbells H-D) sells at MSRP and has a near empty showroom.
The dealer 40 miles north in Mt. Vernon, IL (Dales H-D) is $1000 over MSRP on Sporsters, $2000 over on big twins. Hard to walk through that showroom without tripping over bikes.
Not hard to find MSRP deals if you shop around. When 08's hit the floor, the 2.9/3.9/4.9 financing will not apply.

Local dealer is not to happy. Said the 08 models will be coming
in,around the middle of July, and he still has 107 of 07s in stock.
Thats what can happen when your pricing is $3000 over MSRP.
Will be interesting to see what the 07 RK prices are, once the 08s
hit the floor. Maybe time to make a deal.

jack, is this Manchester HD? Funny because I just posted yesterday about them having a TON of 07's in stock on their website. Looks like a good place to shop for an '07.......

I stopped by the dealer today. I saw more Harley's on the floor, than I had in a long time. A lot of softtails and sportsters. One RG, 2 Ultras. A few rk, classic and standard, but no rk customs. And one sharp night train. Also saw there a week or so ago, a couple of bikes with a green on green paint. I hadn't seen that one yet. I love green, but it may have been to much green. Anyone on here have a bike in that color combo? Any pics?
I didn't get to speak to any of the sales staff, on prices. I am there so much, just looking, that I think they know not to waste there time on me, I am not buying anything. Well, I might, but not until a special one gets my attention, like my rk custom did. I did talk to a guy that paid $112 bucks for an oil change. While he was waiting for them to bring his bike around, I showed him how to do his own, and save some money. Told him to pick up a manual. It pays for itself, after just one oil change. Think I converted him to a DIY'er. Heck, if I can do it, anyone can.

Some of it could also be that the various forums have gotten the word out about some of the 07 problems and are now waiting for the 08's???!!
You all want HD to take notice of how upset you are?
Everybody boycott them for one year and then see what happens.
But it would take 100,000 or so for it to work and that's not likely to happen.
