Default best replacement clutch cable? 2012 Ultra, do not want to lube if possible

What is the 'best' replacement clutch cable? one I do NOT have to lubricate if at all possible.

Standard black housing is what I want. Stock bike. Do not want braided cover etc....

Did forum search, not finding what I need.....

Unsure if newer HD cables need lubing or not, always read contradictions on that.

No issue w/ a new OEM cable if that's the best.

Thanks.

New OEM cable. They are self-lubricating with the internal sleeve. Mine have never been lubricated. 2004 at 50K. Know they even have a callout in the service manual but it is just a way for them to generate money.

Thanks, that is what I was wondering. Barnett has mixed reviews on here??....Magnum (?) only seems to have this weird "signature colors" breading I am not fond of.

I think Barnett or OEM would be fine. I wouldn't worry about lubing the cable as much as I would worry about lubing the ball end of the cable. If it breaks, that's likely the point where it will snap. Make sure your new cable ball end rotates easy in the socket. Put a little grease on it. Then the next time you do your PM and adjust your clutch, you can pull apart the cable lever, clean and inspect it, and hit it with a little fresh grease.

Harley's love that kind of treatment.

Thx. It has that braiding....not a fan. Offhand didn't see plain black casing like OEM.
