Same problem with the heat here. May look into some the options listed here. I had a Venture for 12 years, a 99. Great bike. Post a pic of it.

I have read on several posts where guys remove the left side mid frame deflector, which then allows more air to circulate and dissipate - cheap initial step, might be worth giving that a shot.

I don't need one on my '03, but many people use a Crotch Cooler to protect their thighs from heat.

There may be an HDFORUM discount, but I'm not sure.
Nice ride...congratulations!
I actually love my ruined Batwing and cheap lights and badges.

That's a beautiful "hand me down" , the color just pops. I've got the FP3 tuner on my Road Glide Ultra and the heat seems to have gone down a little. A couple of thoughts. Go into the maps on the FP3, select the map that is installed, go to switches and make sure your ACR's are activated. I also adjusted the throttle response to remove the lag in the response of throttle to engine. One more item, scrub the black paint on the engine with a brush and mild soap to remove the "white" and spray some S100 Engine Brightener on it. Still a great looking machine.

Once you remove the cat the heat will be a lot less. I took the cat out of mine, added a stage one and with a good tune, it's much cooler.

I found the same. In stock form I couldn’t believe the heat that it put out. That ultra looks like a fire truck! Nice color and congrats on the new ride!!

+1 on removing catalytic converter--sits right under passenger right foot and cooks it on warm days. Ceramic headpipe and tune should help also
