Had about that much total from both the 1,000 and 10,000 primary changes put together . Pull the cover but couldn't see any thing, 55,000 miles showing now and just replaced the starter, other then that its all been good.

Normal. Most likely bits of clutch pad break-in I had same first oil change in primary.
options, take a telescopic magnet down below clutch and see if you pick up any more.
Or take some time to remove cover and visually check.

These are metal parts right?
friction material is NOT, sometimes they sneak a powder in , not chunks.

i would reuse the gasket. my primary has been off of my 85 countless times in the 33 year i have owned it. i'm on my 3rd gasket.

101,000 miles


20,000 miles
Here's a photo of mine at the 20,000 mile service. I now have 100,000 + miles and the primary has still never been opened.
