How big is the dip? How much do you and any luggage weigh? It could be the bike bottoming out.

Check your kick "Jiffy" stand and make sure the spring is pulling it tight to the frame when you are riding. The spring will wear over time and the stand can hang lower than it should and the dip could be causing it to drop a little more as well.

Another thing you can do is get down on the ground with a flashlight and look for shiny scraped spots especially on the jiffy stand if you really feel the frame is bottoming out.

Good luck!!.

I agree with Edward - there is no substitute for taking a close look. Could be pretty obvious.....

Yes, the springs loose strength rather quickly really. I seem to need a replacement about every 3 years. You will also hear the scrap if you hit a slight bump while turning left. I have one in my neighborhood that tells me when it's time to replace the spring. Springs are pretty cheap and easy to replace.
