Question 2008 Experts - old style wheels but new size bearing?

Hoping someone with knowledge of the 2008's can help me, since 08 is a bit of an oddball year.
The wheels are still the old style 16" and narrow rear, but 08 was the first year of (bolted on) cush drive, brembo calipers, 11.8" rotors....and I THINK 25mm axle/bearings. Correct me if I'm wrong....

So I want to swap my 2008 spoke wheels with 2003 wagon wheels. The wagon wheels are naked (no pulley or rotors) so I'd be using my 2008 pulley and rotors and bolting on the wagon wheels.
Am I correct in thinking for the front I just need to swap bearings and rotors (not sure on spacers? same size wheel but different axle) But the axle will fit through either size wheel bearing?

And for the rear, also swap over pulley with cush drive, and swap to newer 25mm bearings and that's all.

Let me know. Again, for those not familiar, 2008 is a bit of an odd ball year so I know it's not a direct swap like -2007 would be. Just not sure I have it totally correct.

Change the bearings to 25mm and use the appropriate spacers and swap over rotors and pulley.

It was at first but now I think I've confused myself with too much reading haha. Most wheel swaps are going from old to new, but Im going backwards.
I swapped the front with just a bearing change to 25mm...still using my axle and spacers. Everything seems fine. Maybe a little more brake rub but not sure?

The back has me a little more stumped. Haven't taken it apart yet so it might make sense then. But the old wagon wheel now has a 25mm bearing in it. Thought I'd just bolt everything on with just switching the bearings....but now I'm reading about a rear offset for the 2008 cush drive pulley. Is that correct?

You are doing SAME THING the Factory did on 2008 Touring Models... Adapting wheels designed for the earlier 21mm wide bearings (3/4" and 1" ID) to use the later 15mm wide bearings (25mm ID) ... Your 2008 and 2003 9-spoke Wagon Wheels are the SAME (Dimensionally)

Check the LEFT Rotor to Caliper Alignment ... is the rotor centered within the caliper?

Here's a Review of the FRONT

- LEFT side of FRONT wheel is the SIDE OPPOSITE of the Valve Stem
- Place FRONT Shim (different size than rear) in LEFT bearing bore, then install that bearing FIRST and "bottom out"
- Insert center spacer sleeve and install Right bearing until just contacts sleeve

Again...the wheels are the same ... Unbolt Cush Drive and install on the 2003 Wagon Wheel

REAR

- RIGHT side of Rear wheel is the SAME SIDE of the Valve Stem (brake rotor side)
- Place REAR Shim in RIGHT bearing bore, then install that bearing FIRST and "bottom out"
- Insert center spacer sleeve and install Left bearing until just contacts sleeve

** Use all your 2008 Wheel Spacers, Center spacer sleeves, Rotors, and Cush Drive
