Are these supposed to look like this??? These shipped in a plastic bag... the packaging looked bent... gaskets looked like this...

They're fine. As long as they were not used or bent to the point of a crease. They'll do their job just fine.

I have very similar head gaskets on my engine except they were all steel 3 piece and the rivets were centered between the holes. My machinist, who did my head and cylinder work and sold me the gasket set, gave me special instructions on torquing these. It was in about 5 different toque increments and would go left side, rear-front, then right side, rear-front. Completely different than H-D specs. Have worked fine.

I noticed that the install for these was different than the FSM and did not include the extra 90* torque the manual specifies...

i just want want to make sure that with this much bend in the gaskets they will lay flat and seal. I have two weeks until my parts get back to me so it's not a problem to return this for another if need be.

Like the guy above said, as long as no crease (an actual bent spot) they are fine. They will flatten right out once the head sets down. Stamped parts will distort like this.
