Default Screamin' Eagle Hydraulic Cam Chain Tensioner Plate Upgrade inspection interval

Sounds like on the older (in my case 2004) TC88's the cam shoe replacement interval should be about 30k mles. I've got the Screamin' eagle hydraulic cam chain tensioner/oil pump upgrade. Do y'all think the cam chest inspection interval stays the same, but perhaps the replacement interval changes to as needed (generic as hell, I know). Sounds as if I'm gonna get some work done it now, but at least it's at 135k. Apologies in advance for posting while inebriated

Different deal if you have the upgrade. Pretty much takes the worry out of the equation.

The back chain is a silent link chain as opposed to the roller on the front side (that was provided with the "kit"). I can't put a mileage number on it but it never hurts to look. Adjustable push rods make it a pretty easy job. Why wonder instead seeing it for yourself?

Here's a cam tensioner shoe out of a Twin Cam that had 47k on it. The shoe with the most wear was on the outside.

Those are from a 2006 Dyna or 2007 or later twin cam. That's not what we're talking about here. Those shoes are from an engine with two roller chains. The SE kit retains the Morse chain on the back side of the cam plate because the kit re-uses the original 1999-2006 cams. (1999-2005 for Dynas)

I changed my '04 EG Classic to the Screaming Eagle setup at 73,000 miles to keep from worrying about the originals (they had hardly any wear on them!, .030"). I have since put +40,000 miles on the Screaming Eagle setup and everything's going well. Though I must admit I haven't checked them!
