Default Change rear fender to CVO

Hey guys, I have a 2016 Road Glide Ultra. I'm not a huge fan of the light at the bottom of the rear fender. I was thinking about trying to clean it up and was wondering if anyone could tell me if that would be possible? Below is are pics of what I have (light on the bottom) and what I'd like to do (without light, CVO model).

you have options from pulling that light off and installing a chrome trim peace or replacing the entire fender, im not a fan of that lower light either thats why i swapped to the street glide rear fender

the fender swap is not to bad took me about 2 hours to do it on mine

What color bike do you have? (If the top pic is actually your bike, disregard this question)

Depending on the color will tell us how likely it is to find a FLHX rear fender to match. Now, the CVO Ultra fender may be harder to acquire, plus it could be close to double the price if you can get it.

Have you thought about going aftermarket? Top Shop makes some great stuff. As does BadDad and a few others.

I have thought about going after market. And as sick as that bike looks. It's not quite the look I'm going for. They have good prices for sure and if they made a more stock looking fender, I'd be willing to get one. thanks for your input.

If I could pull the light off with out too much damage or repair, I'd be down for that. I too, also thought about putting a street glide fender on it. I actually like the triple light at the bottom of the SG fender. Good to know it didn't take very long. Doesn't sound very hard if you have some mechanical skills and the right tools???? haha....

I was in the same situation and wanting to get rid of the lower trim/light on the Ultra. I looked at SG fenders a did not care for the Tri Bar set up. I ended up with the CVO style color matched fender from Advan Black. Very happy with it and the extended bags as well.

on my 02 RK i deleted front and rear fender tip lights and installed RK classic trim

this is whats behind that light, i'm sure there has to be some type of trim peace out there that would cover it up? if you remove the light your probably going to need to buffer the paint since its usually marred behind the trim peaces
