Motorcyclist killed in morning crash
A Pensacola man is dead after being ejected from his motorcycle during a crash early this morning.
Sylvester Holley, 62, died at the scene from him injuries he received in the accident on County Road 297-A just south of Booker Street about 6:30 a.m.
Holley was traveling south on CR 297-A when a 1999 Dodge Ram, driven by Robert Landis Gill, 37, of Pensacola, made a left turn into his path, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.
Holley was thrown from the 1997 motorcycle he was driving, He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, the report stated.
Gill and his passengers, Emily Gill, 11, and Corey Gill, 14, were not injured in the accident.
No charges have been filed at this time. Troopers are still investigating the incident.

Im a member in good standing with both here in Pensacola Florida. When is the last time anyone heard of anyone brought up on charges for pulling in front of a biker ????????????????

Kind of off topic, but in the same vein. My 15 year old son was killed in '94 by a kid who T-boned him at an intersection. The kid blew through the stop sign ON PURPOSE because he was late getting to the rodeo. No charges were filed at all, the local law treated it much like it was just some animal that had been run over.I guess if someone pisses you off bad enough, you just go out and run them over and you get off scot free. I think ina lot of cases, if you're on a bike, the general public and the law think you're less than a person. I don't think it should be termed murder, but "manslaughter", by definition, fits the bill.
