Cutting it is easy. Why settle? Make it the way you want it.

Hi Shane,

Here is my opinion. A buddy of mine cut his windshield down to solve this problem. He spend about an hour getting it just right and spent some more time polishing the edge to finish it nicely and he liked it quite a bit. About 1 week ago I spent $32 on a nice FastAire windscreen with a dark "sunglasses" tint. It was a perfect size and handles wind better. The tint is great too although I may pick up a lighter tint version if I decide to do a lot of night riding.

When my buddy saw my windscreen he ordered one the next day. I guess that my point is.... for only $30 bucks... maybe think about saving yourself the trouble of cutting the stock screen and pick up a much improved version that is the height you want and adds to the appearance and comfort of the bike.

I do agree with you if a person has a EG but the poster has a RK - therefore - CUT and save $$

I have a rk custom. I have the standard rk shield on it. I added 18" apes, and now the shield wont fit. I will be cutting my windshield on the edges to make it fit. I usually ride without a shield, but it is nice to have on a nice long ride. Just one more thing I have to take care of. LOL
