Throttle Creep
Hey, I rode my 2009 RKC to work this morning and first thing I noticed upon startup is it seemed to be idling high (roughly @ 2K). In tinkering with the throttle I found that when I ever so slightly roll it the opposite direction (like if I were to be turning off the EITMS) it drops back down to where it should. If I release the throttle it advances very slowly to where my RPMs are near 2K again. I am at work currently so I cannot troubleshoot until I get home this afternoon. What kind of process am I in for? I washed the bike last night and have done nothing out of the ordinary to it recently at all. Ideas?

Reset idle. This probably happened due to having some input on throttle when kill switch was hit. Many people reach with the right hand and turn the ignition off to avoid it. I have listed the procedure to reset high idle below.
Reset Idle (High Idle)
With no throttle input
Kill switch to RUN position
Ignition ON for 10 seconds
Ignition OFF for 10 seconds
Repeat 4 times

I was having this same problem with my 08 ultra, wasn't sure if it was me or there was something going on with the bike.I was in the habit of shutting her down with the handle bar kill switch. So i reset the throttle and started shutting it down with the main ignition switch. The problem has not returned so far this riding season.Time will tell but it must of been me leaning on the throttle or not letting it idle down before hitting the kill switch.
