Default First Time

hey everyone
For the first time when riding my 08 ultra,I could hardly stand the heat of the bike. At the stop lights, I had to keep lifting my legs because of the heat. It was 32 here in Ontario Canada on the weekend but felt like 44
I have true duals, which are ceramic coated, vieds and the Harley heat deflectors
what are my other options to cool this Harley off. Are the love jugs the best option?
thanks in advance

Honestly, how many days is it that hot in Ontario? I’m in Manitoba and really, one time I was caught on a vicious hot day in stop and go traffic, but I drove through a Montana desert heat wave in 46 real degrees last year and I was fine.
But, you guys are going through some pretty rough heat these days, and the experts say it’s only going to get worse in the coming years.
An oil cooler would help. Even that mounted fan head cooler would help some.

Are the Xieds able to compensate enough for your set-up in warmer weather? Do you have a tune as well? Are you running a bit lean by chance? Just some ideas that might be worth thinking about...
Good Luck!

With heat indices up to 100*+ F., that's air temp and dew point, then factor the temp of the pavement with engine heat I bet it was quite warm. DK Customs website listed some ways to cool the engine down a little, check that out. But honestly mother nature was working against air cooled engines this past week. Stay hydrated.

imo 07-08 are the hottest runing noncvo bikes, getting a good tune was the single best thing to cool down my07. i started with xied then got a dyno tune from a reputable tuner and it was night and day. also did exhaust and heat shields it all worked together but..... my rushmore runs way cooler stock.

08 so no cats, first thing I'd try is a good tuner/tune. What you have now just tries to trick your bike into thinkin it's doing something it's not. A crotch cooler does a ton to help,

Love Jugs and the Fan assisted oil cooler are a couple of other options you can consider.
