Default Best Seat For 2007 Street Glide

Need to replace the OEM seat on my '07 Street Glide. Not a thing wrong with the seat, but plenty wrong with my back! What is a good replacement (comfortable) seat for us old guys with lumbar problems? Don't want to spend a fortune.

Did you have a back rest on the bike?

That is the SINGLE best thing you can do for your back on the bike!!!

The next would be higher bars.........makes ya sit more upright and correct........takes the strain off your back.

No back rest, but that may be the way to go!
Thanks.

Agree on getting a backrest. Also check on Mean City Cycles on a seat mod for a more plush ride on your seat. The mod should be cheaper than a new seat.

note any suggestions on 08 and up seats won't fit your bike. Also older frame, super wide seats won't fit so beware of those suggestions.

As the seat is ok (but not your back) I might look into a Pro Pad or Airhawk type item first....and most folks I know w/ back issues put in higher end suspension. Something to search the forum and read on anyway.

While this might not the correct answer, take a look at Le Pera seats. I put Le Pera Maverick on a 2011 SG and it was a world of difference from the stock seat. They make the same model for the 06 - 07 SGs.
The Maverick gives you the low seat feel of the stock SG seat but more comfort. You might check it out and see if this is for you. They make this seat with a back rest option too.

I have an 07 stripped down ultra and I am going to be ordering a C&C solo w/backrest this fall. I have see too many positive reviews from them to pass them up.
