I'm considering putting a solo seat luggage rack on my RKC. Just need the rack.
They're all over the web ranging from $35 to $135 for chrome racks.
For those who have one of these on their rear fender, is there any difference between the inexpensive rack
and the more expensive ones? are they all the same or do you get what you pay for?
Practical use of the rack would be to help support the weight of my XL Tourmaster pack that sits behind the backrest.

You usually get what you pay for. I am very pleased with my solo rack from "Motherwell" products; reasonably priced and very good quality.

 

I too got the motherwell for my Heritage...at first it looked a little wimpy (visually...it's 3/8 rod I think) but it's growing on me. Seems sturdy tho I got it primarily for looks. I guess lawyers write their instructions (10 pound max load with solid 3/8 round stock bolted to the same place the fat pillion would have sat if I left the seat on! WTF??? BTW I got the black satin to go with the Black apes, leather and seat- chrome below and morocco pearl gold white whatever bike color- I like

I have one of the cheaper versions just like the one pictured above on my FXR and it works fine. I have a Motherwell rack on my Indian and it is fantastic too.
