I just found out today that I am being ordered to work 14-16 hours on 4th of July. At double and a half my regular rate thats a lot of money. Sooooo I can afford the trutrac or ridestr8 as my next upgrade.Either sounds well worth the money if it saves your *** even once.

ORIGINAL: PhatHarley4Me

ORIGINAL: Gaskett

(adjusted correctlt)
That's just another area to go wrong. Why buy and have to adjust when you can buy, put on and your riding. No adjusting needed.....

I'm sold on the Ride Str8.

Exactly, put the true track or ride str8 on and thats it, the txr you have to play with it and no matter where I had it adjusted it caused vibration. The design of the thing inhibits the movement of the engine in it's mounts so it has to cause vibration!

The tru track is the best upgrade I've done, next to the rider backrest!!!!!!!!!

I'm no expert, but this is my third HD, and I put on about 10,000 miles a year. The Tru Track is a big time safey issue IMHO.

I was going off of the look, but I will take your recommendation since you have tried it. Guess it is more art than function. Guess the field is narrowed down to the tru track, as I don't care for the passenger floor board mount of the ride str8.

The only issue I have heard with the true track is ground clearance in sharp right handers. Personally I don't think anybody could drag it unless they had a lowered bike and even then it would be difficult IMHO.

Save your money and run 30 psi Front
33 psi Rear

Huge diffrence, no more rain ruthunting. I found most of my buddies wererunning 40 psi.and having troubles.

Elite 3 are the best fix

When you say "Elite"? Is that a new Dunlap? I agree wit the psi statement. Some people set em at 40. That's the max according to the sidewall. Never run the max. 5 under? I run 32-34 frt and 35 Rr. The stock tires do follow rain grooves slightly. But at the slightly lwr air press it's better, plus I think the tires wear better.

This is one of those things that makes me wonder. I can understand having to mod the motor for more power because of the EPA regs etc. If this works so well, why doesn't harley do it? It can't be cost because it is just a few more pieces of metal to install during assembly. Besides, they could offer it as an option (or put it on "premium" models) and make money on the deal. So what gives?

I've heard that the true track can cause premature wear on the swingarm bushings. Anybody have one installed for many miles? Any truth to this, or is someone blowing smoke?
