This is a result of a poor dyno tune by a tuner that didn't adjust timing correctly. Find a new tuner!

You can work the map one section at a time by using the min and max kpa settings in auto tune. Start with a little higher min map setting of 40kpa to work on the timing in that range and above first. It's easier to work with. Lower than 30 KPA settings and you have to start dealing with reversion and other low load problems like false knock.
You can also start out at 20 KPA min map just for idle. Just idle the bike and don't drive it when doing it. Works well with both timing and AFR. Remember autotune only removes timing and doesn't add it.
If your careful and want to play around with advancing timing, you can use quick tune to add timing to a range. low, medium, high, or lug. Then choose the save loaded tune function. If adding timing in that range creates a ping in that range you can auto tune the timing to remove it in that area. It takes time and patience but you can get there.

Hope this makes sense, I just woke up

[QUOTE=ratpick;17442863]I know this is an old thread but I'm hoping someone involved here can help me out, I'm basically on the same page... fresh motor build (103ci, 10.25:1 compression and S&S 585s with some mild headwork.) I've got PV with target tune and no reputable tuners/dyno guys near me. Trying to figure out spark tables but comparing the stock maps with some on this thread... HELP!
